Dr. Rodney Friend graduated with honors from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1999. He completed medical residencies through the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, which also included obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), and is currently board certified in General Preventive Medicine and Occupational Medicine. He served over twenty years in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon on both active and reserve status’ and recently retired with the rank of Colonel. Additionally, in 2017, he accepted a faculty appointment as an assistant professor in the USF Morsani School of Medicine where he attended to the medical needs of the USF student body population and educated the next generation of medical students and residents.
Dr. Friend’s education, training, and years of experience as both a military and student health physician make him uniquely suited to provide men’s health and occupational medicine services.
